Third Visit to More Store Anupuram

(cont..)

Hello All,
Yet another blog from my bag for the MORE store. This one is in relation to the comment I had posted on 24th May 2012. I had the opportunity to go back and click the snap of the arrangement of Colgate with and without offers, and showcase the discrimination of the two products. As mentioned earlier regarding the placement of Frito Lays with More Soft drink and hiding the availability of Thumbs-up. This is yet another showcase of hiding the available offers from the customer and making them pay for more.

The adjoining pic shows that the tooth paste's with offers are placed way up in the highest shelf being invisible for the general crowd. Hence the rotation of the products, which do not have any offer on them, seem to be faster than the one's that have offers with them. Also there were no displays of current offers on the product barring a few which probably were to the store's interest. Hence the customer ends up with a product unaware of the current offers available on the same and yet is happy with the services provided from the store.

This clearly shows that the monopoly of the store has taken a toll on the customer centric organization that Mr Aditya Birla set to build. This can be clearly understood from the fact that the store isn't a factory run outlet. The store is a franchise of Birla Group, and hence the main concern of the store seems to be of personal profits rather than exercising the principles of the Aditya Birla Group !!
